Jack (now Loki)
Sweet Jack (now Loki) is home!
They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this picture truly says it all! Jack’s new parents heard about us through a friend - a previous HVR adopter - and quickly found their perfect match in Jack!
Though we don’t know much about his history, Jack (now Loki) has been a complete love bug since the moment he left the shelter. He’s just one of those dogs that makes people wonder how he could end up homeless. A gentle reminder that so many pups in rescue just need a soft place to land.
Sweet Jack (now Loki) took to his new family immediately, and they couldn’t wait to bring him home! He’s already charmed his parents and is settling in quickly.
Happy Furevers sweet Jack (now Loki)!
Charlotte
We are excited to share a very special adoption announcement for sweet Charlotte!
You may recognize Charlotte’s new mom - a long time foster with HVR, a member of our team, and a previous adopter of senior boy Chance
Chance sadly crossed the rainbow bridge in April, after losing his battle with chronic kidney disease and pancreatitis. This was the third of big losses for her, and she decided to take a break from fostering after this, while she grieved and healed.
When she saw a picture and foster plea for Charlotte - who was suffering from a bad case of demodex - she couldn’t resist starting her foster journey back up with her. She jokes that Charlotte “tricked her” by being such a perfect girl and taking to her training so fast. This duo was meant to be!
Charlotte already has an adorable wardrobe, has started puppy training courses, and has settled comfortably in to her mom’s heart!
We look forward to many years of updates as these two begin their journey together!
Happy Furevers sweet Charlotte!
Leo
Sweet Leo is home!
This sweet boy totally stole the hearts of all of our volunteers & vetting partners - pictures just can’t capture how incredibly sweet & loving this boy is!
Leo came to us needing surgery for an old leg injury, so he spent a little longer in foster care than most, as he healed from his surgery. Each person (and animal) he came in contact with absolutely fell in love with him, and we just knew the perfect home was out there for him.
As often happens with our very special residents, Leo received the perfect app, and it all fell into place from there! Leo’s dad recently lost his pup of 14 years; as his heart was ready, he started looking for his next companion, and fell in love with Leo’s profile
Leo will have his dad all to himself, with a big yard that he’ll share with his neighbor’s adorable beagles. We could feel the love as these two met & we just know they’re going to have the best life together!
Happy Furevers sweet Leo!
Oliver (now Vader)
What do we love even more than a foster fail (success)?! A foster success from a previous adopter!
Oliver (now Vader) has found his furevers with his foster family, previous HVR adopters!
Oliver’s new family adopted their pup Billie from us in late 2021, and decided to try out fostering while they considered adding another pup to their family. Oliver immediately took to his two human siblings and quickly charmed the whole family (including adorable Billie)! By choosing to foster, they not only saved sweet Oliver, but they also got to see him settle in before deciding he was home furever!
Thank you so much to his foster family for choosing to adopt from us not just once but twice - and for choosing to foster with us! We are so happy for this sweet boy & his amazing family
Happy Furevers Oliver (now Vader)!
Graham
The adoption announcement you’ve all been waiting for - the boy with the contagious smile is home!
We know so many of our followers have been rooting for sweet Graham and we’re so happy to share, his new dad is just as in love with him as we are!
Graham charmed his way into his dad’s heart with his adorable smile, and continued to charm him at his meet with his playful personality. His dad couldn’t wait to meet him and his parents were already asking about their new “grandson” as they headed home. Our sweet boy gets to be the “only child,” with a bark park nearby to run out his energy! His family can’t wait to spoil him, and we hear he’s already stuck to his dad’s hip.
Thank you so so much to the incredible team at Eastman’s Escape who helped foster our boy, his trainer Oliver, with Oliver & Co. Dog Training, who helped set him up for success, and our entire village for sharing his story! We’re so happy for him!!
Happy Furevers Graham!
