Three of our adorable puppies went home this weekend - Winston and siblings Lilo & Stitch!

Stitch’s new parents are so excited to welcome their first dog & can’t wait to learn everything there is to know about this cutie!

The Monday update we’ve all been waiting for - Rusty has gone to his forever home! 

This loving senior boy has been a team favorite and an event superstar; we just knew his perfect home was out there & are so happy to share this update!

Rusty now has an amazing family & a human brother that will be home with him full time! He’s ready to be the best companion to his new best friend

We are so excited to share that sweet senior boy Dexter has found his perfect home!

This boy went from wandering the streets heartbroken, to a life of luxury with his new family 

Dexter was secured by one of our volunteers in late January, after being reported wandering in a nearby community for several days. After cleaning him up, she noticed he had a severe ear infection and felt it best to bring him in to the county to get him immediate medical attention. The stars aligned just right, and she was able to foster him herself once his stray hold ended. Dexter underwent medical treatment for his ear, but after a month of treatments it was determined the best course of action would be surgery, to alleviate his recurring and resistant ear infections. 

Dexter’s surgery went off without a hitch, and his new Mom couldn’t wait to meet him soon after! He immediately clicked with her and the family, cuddling up on her grandson’s laps and excitedly wagging his tail when meeting his new fur sister, Bear. 

His foster warned that he was a bit dramatic about his recovery from surgery, and insisted on being hand-fed his breakfast - and we were delighted to hear he’d already talked his new Mom into doing this on day 1 

We are so excited for this amazingly sweet boy, and wish him many spoiled days ahead!

Adorable Thumper thumped his way into the hearts of his new parents and we couldn’t be happier for him! 

He’s got the home to himself (with his mom and dad of course) & can’t wait to be the best boy!

We are so happy to share a very special adoption story - sweet girl Rae 

Rae found herself in rescue after her owner passed, a nervous girl that lacked confidence. We immediately fell in love with this gorgeous girl, but she struggled to find her perfect family.

As fate would have it, like all of the pups that took a little extra time, Rae found her perfect match in her new family - repeat HVR adopters!

When Rae met her fur sister Daisy (an HVR alumni), they immediately hit it it off & began to play, jumping around together in the backyard. 

In addition to her fur sister, Rae absolutely loves all of her human family - a mom & dad that completely adore her, and a hooman brother that she sticks to like glue! Her dad is so incredibly patient with her as she works through her anxiety & we are so smitten with this amazing match
